Snow In March

Last weekend we got a couple inches of snow. So far this winter hasn't brought us the greatest packing snow to build a snowman, but it finally came! Derek built the actual snowman then Natalie went and collected sticks for the hands, coal for the eyes and buttons and we didn't have an actual carrot, so we took a plastic toy carrot from Natalie's play kitchen. We finished it off by using a pod for the mouth. Natalie was so excited about it, but was kinda disappointed when he started to melt about an hour after they put him together. But she got over it fast since she discovered that she could do snow angels as well. She had a good day in the snow!

We were also blessed this past week to have dad back for a visit. It is always nice to see him and catch up. Natalie is always excited to have Papa home, because that means SLEEPOVER!! He is broadcasting the Northwestern Women's Basketball Tournament in Sioux City during the day, but he spends the nights hanging out with us at home. We will be sad to see him go.
